My paper on Active Roll Control of an Experimental Vehicle was awarded the 2005 IMechE Safety Award. The Award is made for "the best paper published by the Institution in the previous year on the subject of the elimination of dangerous dust arising from mining and industrial tunnelling and the removal of rock from the surface or under-ground or any aspect thereof or any other aspect of eliminating danger to health in mechanical engineering and research into matters connected with any such subject". My paper on Active Roll Control of an Experimental Vehicle was awarded the 2005 IMechE Crompton-Lanchester medal. The medal is "awarded by the Board of the Automobile Division for the best paper or for outstanding service considered to have special influence on the advancement of automobile engineering. Our baby boy, Thomas Victor Miège was born on 6th June 2006 at 3:16am, weighing 8 lbs (3.63 kg).
I left QinetiQ and started work at The MathWorks on 21st November 2005 as an application engineer in the area of Rapid Prototyping and Hardware-In-The-Loop, supporting xPC Target in a Model-Based-Design framework.
